Aims & Scope
Exigence seeks substantive research that initiates and furthers scholarly conversation on current, significant issues reflective of the diverse student population across Virginia’s community colleges.
Specifically, Exigence seeks submissions in the following four categories:
- Argument: research writing, including interpretive, definition, and two-sided debate
- Visual: multi-modal, image, or video-based research, including infographics and Web sites
- Analysis: literary, rhetorical, psychoanalytic, scientific, compare/contrast research, including visuals
- Reports: lab, formal, and technical.
